Dermal Fillers

Do I need to have a skin test?

Are there any side-effects?

The rate of reactions to Dermal Fillers is very low. However, after the treatment some common injection-related reactions may occur, such as swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration and tenderness at the injection site. These typically resolve spontaneously within a few days after injection into the skin and within a week after the injection into the lips. Other types of reactions are very rare, but about 1 in 2000 treated patients have experienced localized reactions thought to be of a hypersensitive nature. These have usually consisted of swelling at the injection site, sometimes affecting the surrounding tissues. Redness, tenderness and rarely acne-like formations have also been reported. These reactions have either started a few days after the injection or after a delay of two to four weeks, and have generally been described as mild to moderate and self-limiting with an average duration of two weeks. This text does not contain all the information known about these products. For more information please consult your practitioner.

Why do the lips sometimes become very swollen immediately after a Dermal Fillers treatment?

The cause of this is not yet known, but there is no reason to believe that this is an immunological reaction. Normally, the swelling is gone within a week after injection into the lips.

Can Dermal Fillers be used if I have undergone laser treatment or chemical peeling?

If you have recently had some other kind of facial treatment, you are recommended to wait until the treated area is totally healed and the skin has normalized (usually four to six weeks) before you undergo a Dermal Fillers treatment.

Can patients with allergies of different kinds be more sensitive to Dermal Fillers?

So far, no connection between patients with allergies and patients that report a reaction to Dermal Fillers has been established.

How long does the effect of a Dermal Fillers treatment last?

The length of time the effect of a Dermal Fillers treatment lasts is very individual and depends on many factors, such as the structure of your skin, lifestyle, age, the degree of perfection demanded and the injection technique of the practitioner. Experience indicates that touch-up and follow-up treatments will add to the duration. Most people choose to have a new treatment within a year after the treatment of wrinkles and folds and within 6 months after a lip enhancement.

Does Dermal Fillers get stiffer in cold weather? What happens in the sun?

You should not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. in a solarium or by sunbathing) or extreme cold for the first few days after the treatment in order to avoid the risk of inflammation as the area has been disturbed. However, once Dermal Fillers has integrated into the body, it will adjust to your normal body temperature.

How will my skin look without follow-up treatments?

The correction will gradually disappear until your skin looks like it did before the treatment. Follow-up injections will help you maintain your correction.

What is IV vitamin infusion?

IV vitamin infusion is a quick and safe 20-30 minute procedure. It will replenish fluids, vitamins, and nutrients directly into the blood stream. In turn, this helps to target organs directly. IV Infusions offer fast relief from the effects of common conditions such as seasonal allergies, fatigue, hangovers, prolonged sun exposure, common colds, jet lag, and muscle soreness after intense exercise.

Why IV vitamin infusion is better than oral supplements?

At Revitalize IV Lounge we believe the answer is simple, 60-70% of the vitamins and supplements we ingest get broken down and lost in the digestive tract. When nutrients are infused directly into the bloodstream it bypass the digestive tract meaning absorption is 100% guarantee. IV vitamin infusions deliver a powerful dose of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other vital nutrients directly into the bloodstream for quick absorption. At high doses that would never be possible through oral supplements. This allows us to detoxify, nourish, and hydrate our cells from the inside out for dramatic, long lasting and instant results.

How frequently should I do IV vitamin infusion?

Each of our clients should determine how often they should do IV therapy based on their goals and life style. All of our vitamins and mineral infusions contain zero toxins, which means it is safe and effective for every single person. It is so safe that it can be used on a daily basis, but here at Revitalize, we recommend a weekly or bi-weekly infusion.

How long does it take to feel the effects of IV vitamin Infusion?

Every client’s body is constructed differently. The more deficient your system is the greater and more immediate an effect you will receive. Just because you don’t feel an immediate difference, doesn’t mean the therapy is not beneficial. IV therapy is the clinical gold standard in flushing out the body of unwanted toxins to help restore balance by replenishing nutrients.

What is the difference between IV therapy, IV push, and IM booster shots?

IV Drips consist of 500-1000ml of fluid with a mixture of vitamins and minerals. The intravenous route is the fastest way to deliver fluids and vitamins throughout the body with 100 % absorption into the bloodstream. IV infusion usually lasts 20-30 min to infuse.

An IV Push is infused directly into the bloodstream via a plastic catheter that is inserted into the vein. IV Pushes are in a 60 cc syringe focused more on high dose vitamins with minimal fluid hydration and take about 3-5 min to administer. Note: You still get 100% absorption via an IV Push.

A Vitamin Booster Shot is a quick 10-second injection that delivers vitamins directly into the muscle. There is no IV access required with vitamin booster shots. The dosages of vitamins also differ since the rate of absorption is different. It allows a smaller volume of vitamins to be injected but still allows you to leave feeling revitalized.
